Link to Canada C3: A Crucible

This 5-minute talk on reconciliation with first nations people uses my piece Who is Speaking? Who is Listening? as a focal point. Presented at the International Academy of Ceramics Conference 2021 in the realm of Social &  Political Reality, it describes my experience as a participant on the Canada C3 Expedition in 2017 that marked the 150th anniversary of Confederation.

Prix d’excellence awarded

I am honoured to receive the Prix d’excellence from le Conseil des métiers d’art du Québec along with a cheque from the City of Gatineau for my work in the exhibition L’éloge du fil for this edition of the Triennale en métiers d’art. The exhibition was in La Sarre over the summer, is at Espace Pierre-Debain, Gatineau, September 11-October 17 then moves to Centre Materia, Quebec City November 4-28.

Studio reno completed

After a year and a half of working shoulder to shoulder with my husband Jock Munro, my studio is a fresh and healthy workspace complete with running water! The second floor serves as a beautiful gallery and apartment to welcome visitors. I would love to show it off if you are in the area.

Canada C3

Canada C3 is a legacy project marking 150th years since confederation,  connecting Canadians on a 150 day expedition exploring our vast coastline from Toronto through the Northwest passage to Victoria. It is designed to inspire a deeper understanding of our land, our peoples and our country.  I was honoured to be invited aboard Leg 8, sailing from Qikiqtarjuaq to Mittimatalik and asked to respond to this profoundly moving experience with my work.  For a video recap of Leg 8 see my Ceramic Artist FB page or click here .
