I need to make more space in my studio, so I will be holding a sale of some fine older work from my salt firing days at greatly reduced prices. My showroom is also brimming with current work, both large and small. You are welcome to stop in for a visit and refreshments and see if anything suits your fancy.
I received two awards at the Gala celebrating the cultural sector in the Outaouais region of Québec.
CALQ Prize for Work of the Year Presented for my exhibition Connection x Connexion. The prize was presented by Céline Lavallée, of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec.
Artist of the Year, presented by Yves Guillot, president of the Fondation pour les arts, les lettres et la culture en Outaouais.

Moving Towards the Light was selected for the GICB2015 International Competition. A total of 2,629 entries (by 1,470 applicants) were submitted from 74 countries around the world. 108 works comprise the exhibition.
I am grateful for the financial support of CALQ (Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec). Their funding helped with the shipping expenses, and will enable me to attend the opening of the exhibition along with the many other events organized around this major international ceramic biennale. https://www.kocef.org/eng/n02_biennale/2015/01_01.asp
The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada has purchased “Reclamation” through L.A.Pai Gallery, Ottawa for the newly refurbished High Commission of Canada, Trafalgar Square, London. I understand another work from my “State of Being Series” is in the private quarters of High Commissioner Gordon Campbell.
I was delighted to receive an invitation to attend opening ceremony of Canada House on
February 19, inaugurated by the The Queen and Prince Phillip, but decided my studio was calling. Oh well, another time! canadahousecollection.co.uk
Paula Murray’s Connection |X| Connexion is an installation of suspended porcelain scrolls that explores themes of interconnection, individual and collective identity and the acquisition of wisdom. Resembling a series of interlinked bridges, the installation also evokes the unravelled inner rings of trees – nature’s scrolls that narrate the life history of trees and the eco-system of which they are a part. Murray’s transcendent installation grounds us in our own worldly fragility while alluding to humankind’s constant search for knowledge.
